The Problem

Managing faculty inventory, including equipment, teaching materials, and laboratory assets, was largely handled through manual processes. This resulted in inaccurate stock records, misplaced items, and the absence of a centralized system for tracking asset availability and usage history.

The Solution

My team and I developed a web-based inventory management system that enables faculty members to manage assets through a centralized platform. The system provides real-time inventory tracking, usage history, and resource availability to improve operational efficiency.

Key Features

Inventory Tracking

  • Real-time item availability
  • Complete usage history
  • Automatic check-in/check-out status

User Interface

  • Responsive across all devices
  • Fast search & filtering
  • Clear inventory status indicators

Database Integration

  • Seamless API communication
  • Optimized data storage & retrieval
  • Secure authentication & authorization

Chalenges & Learning

  • Design efficient database schemas for inventory management
  • Implement real-time updates without relying on external frameworks
  • Develop responsive user interfaces that work seamlessly across devices
  • Maintain data integrity during concurrent operations
